Windows 8 to be available on October 26th

uring the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference in Toronto Canada, Windows Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Financial Officer Tami Reller spoke to thousands of partners from around the world. According to her, Windows 8 is on track to release to Manufacturing (RTM) in the first week of August. Microsoft went on to promise the general Availability of the new Windows 8 Operating System on October 26th.

Windows 8 is following on the heels of Microsoft most successful operating system in history with over 630 Million Windows 7 licenses sold to date. According to Microsoft, more than half of all the Enterprise desktops are now running Windows 7.
